My dear brother, you say that the Quran is already interpreted, that Allah is the one who interpreted it, and that we don't need external interpreters or scholars.
Fine, I'll go along with you. Explain to me then the verse: (By those [angels] who extract with violence)? Explain and tell me the story of (The People of the Elephant)? Did Allah mention the details of that story in the Quran, or the story of Joseph, or the People of the Cave?
Furthermore, where do we find the name, lineage, and tribe of the Messenger of Allah, his wives' names, and his Prophetic biography (Sirah) in the Holy Quran?
In the entire Quran, these details do not exist!!
My dear brother, please focus a little on what I am about to say. First, you must know what Allah wants from you; you must know what He commanded you. I mean, as a Muslim, what is required of you in this world? What are you required to reflect upon in Allah's Book and what should you understand? When Allah tells us the Quran is detailed and easy, what is the thing whose performance requires Paradise or Hell?
My dear brother, what Allah wants from you is to know the Lawful (Halal) and the Forbidden (Haram). The verses of Halal and Haram are clarified, detailed, and interpreted; they don't need clerics to interpret them for us. Allah Almighty will not hold you accountable for not knowing the interpretation of cosmic verses and their like, and He will not put you in Hell because you didn't know the explanation of the story of the People of the Elephant. I mean, on the Day of Judgment, Allah will not say to you: 'Enter Hell because you didn't know about the People of the Elephant'!!
If Allah had wanted that, He would have clarified it in the Quran (firstly) and interpreted the story in detail in His Book (secondly). Because as long as He commands us with something, it is natural and logical for Him to clarify it for us. He wouldn't demand something He didn't clarify and then hold us accountable for it on Judgment Day! That wouldn't be justice, and Allah is the Just.
Allah didn't ask you to know the biography of His Messenger and his wives to enter you into Paradise, or that if you didn't know it, you'd enter Hell! All of these remain for history; we take lessons, morals, and benefit from them. The Prophet's biography and Quranic stories fill history books; you can read them whenever you want, but you aren't "required" by them for salvation. You are required to adhere to the Straight Path. The Straight Path is avoiding prohibitions and doing good deeds, which Allah interpreted for us in His Book, not in any other book.
Aha! This is the first time I've known this! What is your proof?
What Allah commanded me with, He mentioned in His Book. The Book of Allah is in your hands. Find me a single verse where Allah commands and requires me to interpret or reflect upon Quranic stories, cosmic verses, or the Prophetic biography, and that whoever does not reflect upon and understand these verses will be put in Hell.
But Allah says: (There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example)!
My dear brother, if you read the verses before it, you would understand the meaning. The verse is talking about war and its horrors, and how there was fear and terror in the hearts of some fighters. So Allah revealed: (There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example) to encourage them and raise their morale.
As for if we want to interpret it generally, it interprets itself. Allah says: (In the 👈Messenger👉 of Allah) and did not say in the 'Prophet' of Allah. The Messenger is the one with a divine message, and all his recommendations and instructions were brought to us in the Quran.
As for the interpretation of cosmic verses, you can read whatever you like from the books of tafsir dedicated to them.
