Islam is a religion of love, tolerance, and peace. It has forbidden racism and made it clear to us that human virtue is based on piety (Taqwa), not on color, social status, wealth, or position. Whoever claims otherwise, let them bring us Quranic evidence that refutes this.
When we talk about Islam, we are talking about the Quran only, citing its verses, for the Quran is the sole representative of Islam. Our noble Messenger—of whom God Almighty said that he possesses a great character and that he is a mercy to the worlds—cannot be racist or deal with people based on color and race, even through examples or humor.
Among the fabrications against this great human being is the falsified Hadith attributed to him:
"You should listen and obey, even if an Abyssinian slave whose head is like a raisin is appointed over you."
(Narrated by Bukhari in 'Judgments' No. 7142, Ibn Majah in 'Jihad' No. 2860, and Ahmad in his Musnad No. 3/114)
I will address two errors in this Hadith, without getting into the content regarding absolute obedience even if your wealth is taken and your back is lashed, or the religious cleric who recently appeared saying: "It is not permissible to oppose the ruler even if he commits adultery and drinks alcohol on live television for half an hour."
🔴 The First Error:
The racism in the language and the belittling of those with black skin by using the term "Abyssinian slave." As if those with black skin are insignificant, discarded, or of lower status than others!
This contradicts God's words: "Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you." [Al-Hujurat 13]
God Almighty does not look at our colors, our wealth, or our clans; rather, He looks at our hearts and our deeds. He says: "And it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in position, but it is [by being] one who has believed and done righteousness." [Saba 37].
🔴 The Second Error:
Mocking God's creation. When you ridicule a person because their nose is long, their mouth is large, or their head is "like a raisin," this is a mockery and derision of God's creation, for a human has no control over these physical matters.
God says: "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them..." [Al-Hujurat 11]
Do you truly believe that the one with the Great Character would speak such inhumane words and contradict his Lord, glorified and exalted be He?! Exalted is God far above what you claim.
Summary:
Stop distorting our noble religion and stop insulting our noble Messenger. Those who have insulted this Messenger the most are the creators of the chain-narrated (Mu'an'an) heritage—insults that even the polytheists did not commit. O God, we declare our innocence to You from everyone who has insulted Your religion and Your Messenger.
